7/27/23 – Here is an excellent and documented CMP US Springfield M1D sniper rifle with M84 scope, mount, scope case, MRT 11-58 stamped leather cheek piece, sling, original basic issue cleaning accessories, original shipping box and the original 1999 CMP paperwork. Excellent June of 1944 serial numbered Springfield receiver with 6-52 SA barrel. The rifle looks about new as re-arsenaled with just some light storage marks. The rifle and scope are excellent inside and out, as the scope has crystal clear optics. The M1Ds were all made from existing stocks of M1 rifles, utilizing new SA barrels (usually 1951/52 dated) with a mix of other parts. They all typically show some stock evidence of rebuild as this one does. Stock shows dings and nicks but no cracks. Sharp P proof on the stock wrist. Some of the accessories are all still in the military wrap. The US M84 scope has crisp clear optics and has excellent blue finish. Scope adjusts properly. Original shipping box has the CMP label on it still. Bore has strong rifling but a little frost in the grooves. ME is a 2, TE is a 3.
