3/1/24 – This is a nice example of a Colt Match Target Woodsman from 1939. According to the included Colt Factory Letter, it was delivered to “Clapp & Treat” in Hartford, CT on June 23, 1939. It comes with its original matching-numbered box, owners manual, two magazines, and punch tool. The gun itself has retained roughly 85% of its original high polish finish. There is wear around the muzzle, general high edge wear, and areas of thinning on both sides of the frame. Very light spotty oxidation on most of the frame as well. Fitted with a very nice period-correct one-piece wood grip. Mint bore.
