7/5/22 – This is a rare and gorgeous Borchardt Luger, or C-93, with original case and extras. It’s likely one of the finer remaining examples, especially with all four of the original, matching magazines. This example is an early first issue “Ludvig Loewe” version, with only about 1500 made. The original bluing rates at 93-95%, with minor muzzle wear, a little finish loss where the stock attaches, and some bluing loss on the toggle handle/mechanism. The included accessories: four magazines that match the pistol, the matching wooden shoulder stock, matching numbered cheek piece, takedown wrench and pin-punches, brass cleaning rod, and oiler, which are all contained in an original Borchardt black leather bound carrying case. The case itself is in excellent condition, probably the nicest we’ve encountered. The case and original felt interior date back to approximately 1893. The listing also includes a rare, original leather holster. The holster shows its age and has cracking but these holsters are almost always in poor condition, and this one is nicer than most. Beautiful grips with sharp checkering and no chips or cracks. Bore is shiny with strong rifling but does have a little frost in the grooves.
