4/1/22 – This is a very nice example of a “BNZ 43” Steyr K98 issued to the Nazi military in 1943. The rear sight, floor plate, trigger assembly, and bolt release are matching to the gun. The bolt assembly and barrel bands are mismatched. The stock and handguard are numbered internally and are also mismatched. There are proper waffen military acceptance proofs throughout. Faint waffen proofs on the wrist of the stock and right side of the butt stock as well. Overall, the gun is in very nice condition. Most of the finish loss is on the floor plate / trigger assembly where there is light brown patina. Minor scratchy wear on the barrel bands. The wood stock is excellent. Bore is very nice with good rifling.
