3/16/22 – This is an excellent example of a BYF 41 “Black Widow” Mauser Luger issued to the Nazi military in 1941. The gun is all matching and has the proper “Eagle 655” Nazi military acceptance proofs on the right side of the slide. There is an “asterisk” marking on the right side of the barrel, indicating the barrel failed initial inspection and was sent back to the factory for repair. This one comes with one original matching-numbered magazine and is fitted with a pair of iconic period-correct “Black Widow” black bakelite grips. The gun has retained about 95-96% of its original finish. There are areas of minor wear on the side plate, side rails, and around the muzzle. There are tiny handling marks/scratches on both grip straps, and there is a number very lightly scratched into the front strap. The bore has great rifling, but there is minor freckling throughout.
