5/15/23 – This is a beautiful example of a Model 1884 Springfield Trapdoor. Includes 70+ rounds of ammunition and leather sling. Bluing on the 32-5/8″ barrel is even throughout. Features a front sight cover and unique ram-rod bayonet. Buffington, adjustable rear sight. The trapdoor has an excellent case hardened finish. The bore is bright and shiny, with sharp rifling. The stock is in great condition, with only a few minor handling marks. A cartouche is stamped on the stock and is dated 1892. Serial number indicates a manufacture date between April and June of 1892. The butt plate features a swivel door containing original tools. Overall a great example of a Model 1884 rifle. Ammunition will be shipped separately. The rifle is an antique so no FFL required.
