5/5/20 – This is a beautiful Remington Rand 1911A1 from 1945, with 97-98% of the original parkerized finish. There are tiny hints of high edge thinning on the slide, and a bit of thinning on the front strap. The pistol does have Ogden Arsenal proofs on the right side of the frame but we see no actual indication of refinish or re-work. Correct HS barrel with strong bore. Proper inspection proofs on frame and slide. Excellent grips. ‘S’ proofed magazine.
