9/20/19 – This is a near-mint Colt M1911A1 from 1943, with about 98% of the original parkerized finish remaining. There’s minor finish loss on the edges of the underside of the frame, but is in nearly unissued condition otherwise. GHD inspector mark on frame with P proof on slide and frame. Scarce Colt barrel with ‘S’ under the lug, which is correct for this serial number. Excellent grips. ‘L’ marked magazine. Bore has good rifling but some frost and needs a more thorough cleaning.
