8/6/21 – This is an original 1944 dated P.38 holster from late WW2. The holster has some surface cracking and scuffing on the lid as well as pliability throughout. This is mostly normal use wear. The stitching is original and all in tact. The interior leather shows some normal wear, but also reveals a “bdr” maker stamp, 44 date stamp, and a faint waffen proof stamp (this is hard to see in photos). Appears to fit a P.38 as well, but this holster was meant for an Astra 600.
