7/25/24 – This is an original WW1 German Artillery Luger stock assembly, complete with leather harness attachments. The wood stock is stamped with a rare “crown G” Imperial proof stamp. There’s also an Erfurt proof stamp on the lower leather attachment band with brass knob, as well as on the upper leather attachment end. The leather cup is stamped by maker Maury & Co. along with the 1915 year of manufacture, which is rare and desirable. The wood is in great condition aside some surface dings and one small area of slightly deeper patterned damage. The metal female end of the stock is serial numbered 6297, and the metal has light surface patina throughout, though most of the bluing is still intact. The closure strap is torn in cleaning at the connection point, and though the leather is in overall very good condition, there is some mild wrinkling and more limited pliability in a few areas. This stock assembly originally came with an Erfurt Artillery Luger.
