2/3/23 – This is a nice, honest example of an original Colt M1911 that was issued to the U.S. Army in 1914. It has a very nice profile but most of the wear is on the grip straps. with some more along the top of the slide. There’s also spotty oxidation on the slide but no pitting. Original barrel with disconnect ‘P H’ marking. It’s generally clean with strong rifling and just a little frost in the grooves. Nice grips, other than a scratch that extends from the right panel onto the rear frame, likely from someone that slipped when using a screwdriver to remove the screws. Proper two-tone mag.
