5/2/24 – This is a nice, original example of an Army issued Colt 1911A1 from 1942. WB inspector mark on frame is correct, as this one was made at the very start of ’42. Matching numbered slide with proper Colt barrel with ‘G’ under lug. The parkerized finish shows some thinning throughout, with the front strap being the most notable area of wear. Excellent grips. Postwar mag. Bore has strong rifling and only minor frost.
