3/15/22 – This is a nice example of an Arisaka Type 99 rifle issued to the Japanese military during WW2. The gun comes with an original bayonet and scabbard, monopod, dust cover, cleaning rod, and reproduction leather sling. The gun is almost completely matching except for the cocking knob. The bayonet and dust cover are numbered but neither match the gun. The original Imperial mum stamp on the receiver have been ground. Overall, the metal is in good shape but there is noticeable splotchy discoloration covering all surfaces of the metal parts. The stock has dings and scratches throughout and some more noticeable gouges here and there, especially on the underside of the butt stock. The bore is mint.
