10/5/22 – This is a very nice example of an Arisaka Type 99 rifle issued to the Japanese military during WW2. It is completely matching and has a fully intact Imperial mum stamp on the receiver. This particular gun also comes with an original monopod, dust cover (numbered but not matching), and a crude braided rope sling. There is very little actual finish loss on the gun. However, there is noticeable brown patina and pin-pricking covering most of the metal parts. There is no major damage to the wood stock, but there are noticeable dings, scratches, and bruises throughout (typical for these guns). The bore is shiny with good rifling, but there are tiny pits in the grooves.
