7/26/23 – This is a very nice example of an Arisaka Type 99 rifle issued to the Japanese military during WW2. It is mismatched but does have a fully intact Imperial mum stamp on the receiver. The metal parts have retained about 95% of their finish with some minor thinning on the receiver. While there is not much actual finish loss, there is spotty oxidation on most of the metal parts. There is no major damage to the wood, but there are obvious bruises, dings, and scratches throughout. The initials “WDC” are scratched into the wood on the right side. Near-mint bore. The trigger grouping appears to be slightly bent, causing it to appear “bowed” in the middle.
