5/17/22 – This is a nice example of an Arisaka Type 99 issued to the Japanese military during WW2. It is all matching and has a fully intact Imperial mum stamp on the receiver. It comes with a period-correct cleaning rod and a rubberized canvas sling (it is fairly dry and starting to crack. The finish on the metal parts is noticeably thin on the whole gun, and there is noticeable spotty oxidation throughout. The stock is nice, but there are minor dings and bruises throughout. The bore is shiny with strong rifling, but there are a couple of small areas with tiny pits near the muzzle end. One of the arms on the rear sight is a little loose.
