8/30/23 – This is an excellent example of an Arisaka Type 99 rifle issued to the Japanese military during WW2. It has some late-war features, such as peep-style rear sight, crude machining, and a wooden butt plate. The cocking knob and firing pin are mismatched, but it has a fully intact Imperial mum stamp on the receiver. The metal parts have retained nearly all of their finish with very minor wear on the high edges of the floor plate. The wood stock shows all of the typical signs of wear and use – there are a few more noticeable gouges here and there. Stone-mint bore.
