12/8/22 – This is a very nice example of an Arisaka Type 99 rifle issued to the Japanese military during WW2. It is all matching, but unfortunately the Imperial mum stamp on the receiver has been ground. The gun has retained roughly 85% of its original finish. There is minor muzzle wear and wear around the high edges in general. More noticeable finish loss on the butt plate and on the top of the receiver. Spotty oxidation on the butt plate as well. Some thinning and minor pitting on the floor plate / trigger group. The wood stock is excellent with only light scratches here and there, but it appears to have been sanded and laminated. Comes with a nice reproduction canvas sling.
