2/5/24 – This is an excellent example of an Arisaka Type 99 issued to the Japanese military during WW2. All matching but has a ground Imperial mum stamp on the receiver. It comes with an original monopod and a matching-numbered dust cover. It also has the original cleaning rod and anti-aircraft sights. The gun itself has retained about 98% of its original finish. While there is almost no actual finish loss, there is spotty brown patina on virtually all of the parts. The wood furniture has no major damage with below-average signs of wear. Terrific bore.
