8/5/22 – This is a nice example of an Arisaka Type 99 issued to the Japanese military for WW2. The rifle is mismatched, but the bolt grouping matches itself. The firing pin is broken and won’t function, but does match the rest of the bolt. The receiver does feature a fully intact Imperial Mum stamp. Most of the original finish is intact, but there is oxidation throughout the entirety of the rifle. The wooden stock is in overall nice condition, showing handling wear throughout with a few dings here and there. The rear sight is missing both anti-air wings, and the left side screw for the front barrel band is missing. The rifle comes with an original sling and cleaning rod. The bore is shiny and mint. This gun would make an excellent shooter if a replacement firing pin were to be acquired.
