1/7/22 – This is a nice example of an Arisaka Type 99 rifle issued to the Japanese military during WW2. The gun is mismatched and has a ground Imperial mum stamp on the top of the receiver. There isn’t much actual finish loss, but virtually all of the metal parts are covered in brown patina with areas of spotty oxidation here and there. There is some thinning and splotchy discoloration on the barrel, some thinning on the floor plate, minor wear on the high edges in general, and some light scratchy wear at the back of the receiver. There are tiny dots of what look like white mold spores on the floor plate and some of the wood stock. The stock has dings, dents, and scratches throughout but no major damage. The bore is mint.
