5/11/22 – This is a nice example of an Arisaka Type 38 issued to the Japanese military during WW2. The gun is mismatched and has a partially-ground Imperial mum stamp on the receiver that is mostly visible. The gun has retained the majority of its finish with noticeable wear around the muzzle and front portion on the barrel. Light brown patina along the barrel. Spotty wear on the receiver. The rear barrel band, floor plate, and trigger group have no finish. No major damage to the stock, but there are small bruises and scratches throughout. One more noticeable gouge on the right side of the foregrip. Very nice bore with good rifling.
