5/5/22 – This is a very nice example of an Arisaka Type 38 issued to the Japanese military during WW2. The gun is mismatched but does have an intact Imperial mum stamp on the receiver. It also comes with an original matching-numbered dust cover. There is very little actual finish loss, but there is minor pin-pricking and tiny dots of oxidation covering most of the metal parts. Heavy oxidation on the butt plate. There is no major damage to the stock, but there are small dings, bruises, and scratches throughout. A few more noticeable gouges on the upper handguard. The bore has good rifling with minor pin-pricking in the grooves.
