Type 38 Carbine
WW2
622606 - 19701

4/7/22 – This is a nice example of an Arisaka Type 38 Carbine issued to the Japanese military during WW2. The Imperial mum stamp on the receiver is fully intact. The gun is technically mismatched. However, the bolt is numbered “660” (matching) AND “Square 91″ (not matching”. This “Square 91” numbering is also on the bolt release and firing pin. We are not sure what this means. Our best guess is that these are armorer’s replacement parts. There is significant finish loss on the barrel, barrel bands, floor plate, and trigger group. Heavy spotty oxidation on the bolt release and butt plate. Comes with an original cleaning rod. The stock has noticeable scratching and bruising throughout. A few more noticeable gouges on the right side. The bore is shiny with good rifling.
