3/25/22 – This is an Arisaka Type 38 Carbine issued to the Japanese military during WW2. It is mostly mismatched, and the original Imperial mum stamp on the receiver has been defaced. No import marks. Comes with an original cleaning rod. Overall, the gun is in fair condition. There isn’t a ton of actual finish loss on the metal parts (except for some thinning on the floor plate/trigger group), but there are areas of heavy oxidation on the front barrel band spring, floor plate/trigger group, and on the butt plate. There are no cracks in the wood stock, but there are noticeable dings, dents, and scratches throughout. There are some more noticeable gouges on the handguard and on the butt stock just behind the action. The bore is very nice with good rifling.
