7/14/22 – This is a nice example of an Argentine copy of the Colt ACE, made by D.G.F.M. It was originally made for the Buenos Aires Provincial Police forces. It was later converted by the Argentines to fire .22 Long Rifle ammunition. Like the original Colt “Service Model Ace”, it uses a floating chamber barrel which amplifies the recoil of the little .22LR. This both increases functional reliability and also better simulates .45 caliber recoil for realistic training. The slide and frame match, and there is virtually no actual finish loss – it has been refinished. Import mark on the right side of the frame. Comes with fairly worn black plastic grips and a .22 caliber magazine. The bore has strong rifling with some light freckling here and there.
