9/25/23 – This is a very nice example of a Finnish army M27 Mosin Nagant manufactured by Tikka in 1932. The receiver has the boxed “SA” stamp which indicated Finnish army property. The metal on the rifle is more worn on the receiver than the barrel but these receivers were recycled due to limited Finnish supplies. The stock is in its original war time condition with the rounded splices. This rifle likely avoided post war refurbishment like many Finnish rifles. The rifle is “Finn” matching where only the bolt matches the receiver and has the rare “wings” added onto the extractor bar. These were added to try and add rigidity to the Mosin bolt when cycling. The bore is dark with a hint of brightness and will likely clean up better. While built later, the receiver qualifies as an antique.
