6/20/23 – This is a mint condition Winchester Model 1892 (Short) in its original box. The Model 1892 was designed by John Moses Browning to be a worthy successor to the extremely popular Model 1873. Innovations such as the sliding dust cover and improved lever mechanism greatly improved the rifle’s reliability and ease of use. The Model Short variant was designed with a 20in barrel to cater to users who desired a handier rifle, particularly for use in close-quarters or quick-handling situations. Its shorter length made it easier to navigate tight spaces, such as brushy or wooded areas, and it was favored by individuals such as law enforcement officers, riders on horseback, and others who required a compact firearm. This one is in like new condition, with no wear on the metal or wood, and a mint bore. Comes with original box, manual, and lock.
