1/12/21 – This is a mint Sig Sauer P228 in the original case with spare magazine, manual and matching test target. This is a particularly desirable example for a couple of reasons. Firstly, it was made in West Germany, not the United States. Secondly, it’s a “triple”, meaning a variation that is serialized on the slide, frame and barrel. This, along with the Eagle/N proof, indicates the gun was fully built and proofed in Germany, whereas “singles” could have replaced parts. The consignor believes he bought this one new and never fired it, and the condition matches that. Date code on the gun indicates it was made in 1994, so FFL required. The magazines are both 13 round capacity, so be sure it’s legal in your state.
