9/22/22 – This is a beautiful, matching and rare variation K98 bayonet. The bayonet comes with a canvas frog associated with the German Africa Corps. The frog is unmarked but in near mint condition. The bayonet is also minty, with a very clean blade that’s unsharpened and the only wear being some mild finish loss, mostly near the tip. The ricasso is serial numbered on one side and maker stamped “i” on the other. This maker stamp was only used in 1941 by Elite Diamant. The handle is also in excellent condition with some light edge wear and mild patina, but most of the finish still intact. The scabbard has no dents or notable flaws, and is matching maker stamped and serial numbered to the blade. A top-tier, impossible to upgrade example.
