3/28/2023 – This is a very nice example of an AC 44 Walther P.38 issued to the Nazi military in 1944. It is all matching and has the proper “Eagle 359” military acceptance proofs throughout. The gun has retained about 80-85% of its original finish. The majority of the finish loss is on the front strap (where there is almost no finish left), the bottom of the trigger guard, and the tang. There is an area of minor speckling on the left side of the slide. There is also wear around the high edges in general and at the muzzle. Beautiful plum color on the frame and barrel of this one. It comes with period-correct brown bakelite grips that show some honest handling wear but are in otherwise good condition, and a WaA106 marked magazine. Very nice bore with great rifling, but it does have some frost throughout. De-cocker is functional.
