11/5/21 – This is a nice example of an AC 41 Walther P.38 issued to the Nazi military in 1941. It is a first-variation example, characterized by the “ac” Walther factory code on the trigger guard. It is all matching and has the proper “Eagle 359” Nazi military acceptance proofs throughout, even on the small parts. This one also comes with one original matching-numbered magazine. It has retained roughly 50-60% of its original high polish finish. Most of the finish loss is on the front grip strap and underside of the trigger guard (where there is also some spotty oxidation), but there is thinning and spotty, scratchy wear throughout. The wear is most noticeable on both sides of the slide and on the barrel. There is spotty oxidation on top of the barrel through the ejection port, top of the slide, and right side of the slide. Areas of minor pitting along the right side of the slide, left side of the barrel, and around the front edge of the left side of the slide. Comes with excellent Waffen-proofed un-numbered grips. The rifling in the bore is a bit worn with pitting throughout. De-cocker is functional.
