1/24/19 – This is an original 3rd variation Kriegsmarine Mauser HSc pistol made during WW2. The pistol is cited by serial number in Jan Still’s Axis Pistols book (the holy grail of nazi firearms books) on page 176. The gun is in beautiful condition as well with very minimal actual bluing loss. There is however, some light oxidation / surface wear on the bluing of the straps (more on the front than back) as well as in a few small spots on the slide. Some of this slide oxidation looks worse in photos than to the naked eye. This is a 3rd variation, meaning the front strap is Kriegsmarine proofed, as well as the trigger guard. There were only 2,000 made in this variation (and only 25 cited in Axis Pistols). Comes with an original magazine. The bore is 8/10 with light patina in the grooves. 1942 production and all original.
