3/3/19 – This is an original WW2 production, rare SS dagger with an original SS chain. The dagger has no maker marking, but this is common on the 2nd pattern model SS daggers. The blade shows proper cross-graining and placement / location of the blade inscription. The wood handle has no cracks or chips and the metal fixtures show light patina and aging. The scabbard is correct and original as well with only some minor paint loss. The burnish background on the chain is in excellent condition and helps to prove the authenticity of this blade & chain. Some minor aging on the chain and normal wear, and the reverse side has a “SS” inscription stamp. This grouping was consigned to us by a respected and knowledgeable dagger collector. We stand behind this product as both original and authentic.
