5/31/23 – This is an original 2nd Model Luftwaffe dagger manufactured by SMF during WW2 . The dagger is in very good overall condition with an original nickel-plated blade that’s maker stamped by SMF as well as Luftwaffe proof stamped. There’s dark surface oxidation and light speckling patina throughout the blade as shown. The edges are unsharpened and in great shape. The orange bakelite grip has a small chip where the silver chord wrapping meets the base of the handle. There’s typical surface patina on the hand guard and pommel, with nice original gold colored swastika still intact. Comes with an original wartime production scabbard.
