11/9/21 – This is an original 1st model Pith helmet from WW2. These helmets were used by the DAK and the 1st model helmets are much more scarce than the 2nd model Pith helmets. The 1st model has a cloth exterior and a molded cork brim. This example is in excellent overall condition with a very clean exterior. There’s some mild discoloration but no notable flaws or stitching issues. The interior is very clean and all original. The interior of the leather brim is ink stamped as shown.
