6/9/20 – This is an original 1st model Luftwaffe dagger made by SMF. The dagger comes with an original scabbard and chain, as shown. Overall this piece is in excellent condition. The blade is shiny and clean with only very minor scabbard wear. The reverse side is SMF maker marked. The hand guard has some small areas of dark discoloration, but no major issues or wear. The stretched leather handle has light fading of the blue finish, but no major issues. The scabbard has some small scuffs on the leather. The chain is unmarked but has a strong clasp. One chain link is missing, replaced with old metal wire.
