6/16/23 – This is an excellent example of a Finnish Sako Mosin-Nagant M39 rifle, manufactured in 1968. Bolt and receiver are matching, but there is an import mark on the barrel. These are sometimes referred to as “sneak” rifles, due to their lack of identifying manufacturer markings. The metal parts have retained about 90% of their finish. The majority of the wear is on the butt plate, but there is also minor muzzle wear, very minor wear on the high edges, some light scratchy wear on the magazine, and some tiny dots of discoloration on the receiver. Minty wood furniture. Near-mint bore.
