10/17/24 – This is a nice example of a Korean War era M1 Garand, produced by Harrington & Richardson in 1955. The finish rates at about 95% with minor thinning on the receiver, and a little bit of finish loss on the barrel. Nice stock with no major flaws, but a few handling marks. ‘P’ in circle proof on wrist. Eagle cartouche on the left side. Barrel is dated to June of 1955. Bore shows strong rifling and rates an 8 of 10. ME and TE both measure a 2 – 2-1/2. Internal parts are all HRA stamped, except for the trigger housing which is WRA. Smooth action and fully functional. Includes wartime sling.
