8/4/23 – This is an excellent example of an International Harvester M1 Garand. The serial number on the receiver dates to 1954. LMR-marked barrel dated 1953. There is a small military cross-canon proof on the barrel and a DOD stamp on the left side of the stock. The metal parts have retained roughly 80-85% of their finish with areas of thinning on the sides of the receiver and on the gas tube. No major damage to the wood, just minor dings and scratches throughout. Shiny bore with strong rifling and just some small areas of pin-pricking here and there. Muzzle reading: 1. Throat reading: 1.
