10/12/22 – This is a Springfield M1 Garand sold to the public as a part of the Civilian Marksmanship Program (CMP). It comes with an original matching-number CMP certificate and CMP and matching-numbered CMP hang tag. The receiver dates to the 1950’s. The barrel is marked SA and dated June of 1945. This gun is considered “Rack Grade”. There is not a lot of actual finish loss, but there is thinning on the gas tube and brown patina on the floor plate / trigger group. The stock is in excellent condition, but there are a few dings in the upper handguard. Small wood repair at the very front of the stock. The bore is shiny with strong rifling.
