6/7/23 – This is a nice example of a Colt Official Police Revolver, manufactured in 1948 and chambered in .22 LR. It is matching and has retained roughly 80% of its finish. The majority of the wear is on the grip straps, where there is also light spotty oxidation. There is also general high edge wear and areas of splotchy discoloration here and there. We believe some spots have been touched up with cold blue. Fitted with nice hand-checkered wood grips – small chip in the bottom corner of the right side. Mint bore. The cylinder is tight, and the action is smooth.
