6/8/21 – This is an excellent example of a Walther P.38 that was initially issued to the Nazi military in 1945. It is all matching and has the proper “Eagle 359” military proofs. Late-war cog hammer. The gun was reworked after the war and issued to the East German police force. There is a police “sunburst” proof on the left side of the frame. The barrel and locking block were numbered at the police arsenal to match. They must have used leftover parts, because the barrel has a commercial “Crown N” proof. It has retained about 99% of its finish with just a hint of wear at the front of the slide and around the muzzle. Excellent grips and an un-marked magazine. Mint bore. De-cocker is functional.
