10/12/23 – This is a Boyt made, 1945 dated, and USMC issued M7 shoulder holster for the model 1911 service pistol. The M7 appeared in 1945 and had strap setup that was more comfortable than the earlier M3 model. This was adopted by the USMC, however both types of holster remained in service well past Vietnam. The holster is in great overall condition with all original leather and stitching intact. The brass fixtures are original and in great shape as well. The leather is BOYT maker stamped and ’45 dated. The leather has normal surface wear and light pliability. The shoulder strap is completely intact. Fits a M1911A1 nicely.
