9/8/23 – This is an excellent example of a Springfield M1 Garand issued to the US military during WW2. The serial number on the receiver dates it to about January of 1945. Springfield barrel dated January of 1945. The metal parts have retained nearly all of their finish with some minor wear around the muzzle and on some of the high edges. Very nice wood furniture, but the stock has been sanded. Some small dings and very light scratches on the handguards. Mint bore. Muzzle reading: 1. Throat reading: 1. Comes with a green canvas sling.
