6/19/23 – This is a very nice example of a Winchester M1 Garand issued to the US military in about July/August of 1944. The barrel is a 1952-dated Springfield replacement. The stock is also a replacement and marked with a ‘P’ on the grip area. The numerals “201” are stamped in the upper fore guard. There are no other marks on the stock. The metal parts have retained about 90-95% of their finish. Many small parts have the correct WRA stamps. Some are replacement parts stamped SA or HRA. There is general high edge wear and some light scuffs on the barrel and gas tube. The stock has no major damage, but there are minor dings and scuffs throughout. Includes a period correct canvas sling and butt stock cleaning kit. Great bore with strong rifling. Minor frosting in the grooves.
