2/1/22 – This is a very nice example of a Walther G.43 rifle issued to the Nazi military in 1944. The gun is all matching, but the bolt has been re-numbered. It has the proper waffen proofs throughout. The gun comes with a shooter’s kit, original sling, original magazine, and cleaning rod. The small leather capture piece of the sling is reproduction. The wood stock is likely a replacement, because the butt plate does not fit properly. The upper hand guard looks to be period-correct. The gun has retained most of its finish, but there are tiny dots of oxidation on the barrel, some discoloration on the receiver, and some wear on the trigger guard. Brown patina on the butt plate. The bore is shiny with good rifling and some areas of very minor pin-pricking. The dust cover on the receiver fits very loose. The bolt has some trouble locking back.
