4/27/23 – This is an excellent example of a Springfield M1 Garand. The serial number on the receiver dates it to about May of 1944. The barrel is a Danish replacement, dated June of 1957. The stock has no markings. The metal parts are excellent, retaining about 95% of their finish. There is minor wear around the muzzle and front sight and an area of light scratching on the right side of the barrel. Very minor wear on the high edges in general. Mint wood furniture. Excellent, shiny bore with strong rifling. Muzzle reading: 3. Throat reading: 1.
