4/18/23 – This is a very nice example of Spreewerk P.38 issued to the Nazi military in October of 1944. It is all matching and has the proper “Eagle 88” military acceptance proofs throughout. There is an asterisk marking on the barrel, indicating it failed initial inspection and was repaired at the factory. This is a desirable trait for collectors. Late-war cog-style hammer. The gun has retained about 94-95% of its original finish. The majority of the wear is on the front strap, so the profile views are minty. Light spotty oxidation on the front strap and underside of the trigger guard. Excellent blackish-brown bakelite grips. Comes with a period-correct jvd magazine. Mint bore. De-cocker is functional.
