10/4/23 – This is a nice example of a Remington Rand Model 1911A1 issued to the US military in 1944. It is “United States Property” marked, has a military cross-canon cartouche, and has the proper “FJA” inspection initials. There is an “RIA” marking on the right side of the frame, indicating it was reworked at the Rock Island Arsenal. The barrel is a post-war Colt replacement. The finish rates roughly 80% with general high edge wear, thinning on the front grip strap, and some light scratches on the slide. Fitted with nice reddish plastic grips – “24” rack number painted on the right side. Comes with an un-marked magazine. Mint bore.
